According to Paul Pacult, famous critic of the Spirit Journal, Citadelle reflects "what gin should always have been".

In 1775, King Louis XVI granted Sieurs Carpeau and Stival the privilege of opening the first French gin distillery in the old Citadel of Dunkirk.

Two centuries later, Alexandre Gabriel discovered their method which he perfected to create Citadelle. Elegant, it unfolds a voluptuous complexity and a refined finish. The freshness of juniper berries is magnified by 18 carefully selected and gradually infused herbs to develop their own personality.
